This section of the pipe specification definition allows the user to set virtual characteristics which are written to the pipelines (and/or respective components) generated using the current pipe specification.
The virtual characteristic written in piping assemblies can be later used by Smap3D Isometric.
Virtual characteristics can also be specified for individual components. This can be achieved using the Pipe specification row detail editor. This occurs when running Edit within the context menu of a row in the Content section.
Every row in the table stands for a single virtual characteristic and should have defined following values.
Virtual characteristic name.
Virtual characteristic value.
Defines the entities where the virtual characteristics are written to. It can be:
The same virtual characteristic can be even specified within two or three rows. Each row can e.g. define a specific value for specific object types (pipeline paths, parts, pipes).
Virtual characteristics that are written by P&ID differ source by source. Names used for mapping can be displayed in Smap3D Isometric (when assigned with P&ID To-Do List).
