Split Route is enabled when the desired pipeline path is selected.
Split Route is similar to Place Concentric Reducer but it can only be used on a fitting.
It serves typically to solve situations when pipeline is generated using a single Pipe Specification and diameter, but there is a requirement to divide the pipeline into two (connected) parts with different diameters or even different sort (flanged, butt-welded, etc.) right next to the fitting.
Select a fitting on the pipeline where you want to split route and add a concentric reducer.
In Property manager, there can be selected which end of the fitting is going to be split, it is marked with a red bubble on the coordinate system of the selected fitting.
Confirm the selection when the red bubble is on the desired side.
In the next step the Pipe Specification for modified part of pipeline dialog will pop up, where relevant pipe specifications and sizes are available (i.e. those which contain concentric reducers which fit the original pipe specification and size).
Select the desired pipe specification, size and the other parameters for the modified part of the pipeline.
Another dialog may appear in the following conditions:
Non-unique fittings - appears in case there are non-unique fittings within the selected pipe specification. A specific component must be selected for every non-unique group.
Concentric reducer selection - appears in case there are two (or more) concentric reducers that fit the given situation. One of the reducers must be selected.
Concentric reducer preview - appears in case the orientation of the component is not clear. This is typical for non-reducing concentric components; i.e. the both component ends have the same diameter. In such a case it is possible to select the position of the component (by selecting the coordinate system that will be placed to the connection point) and its orientation (the component can be flipped).
The appropriate concentric reducer is then placed right next to the fitting and the related part of the pipeline is edited automatically.
The user should check and correct all dimensions and constraints on line segments of a pipeline path after a concentric reducer is placed with Smap3D Piping.
