Logging

This section allows to set/optimize logging of the Smap3D Plant Design applications.

If switched on, it is possible to set desired Logging Level and Log Files Location.

Logging level defines how thorough the log is.
Choose from:
Simple - logs only critical errors and starts of applications.
Detailed - logs critical errors, starts of applications and accesses to main functions.
Full - logs all events and accesses of internal functions.

Default log files location is a path to a log file, default path is: C:\Users\User\AppData\Roaming\CAD_Partner_GmbH\PlantDesign. Path can be changed by Set target of log files manually.

Document and Settings folder shows default path to a log file and settings.

Show trace log opens Trace Log Viewer.

Trace Log Viewer
Level - changes the level of logging, the Log Text is updated in the Trace Log Viewer depending on the selected level.

Show Time - shows/hides timestamps of individual entries.

Copy messages to clipboard - copies selected entries to clipboard. Paste log information with ctrl + V.

Export messages - exports log in .txt or .xml format to selected path.

Clear the messages - clears all trace log information.

In order for settings to be saved, use Save settings when Plant Design tab is opened.
